- Deenah is a genie, born out of magic and fire in the fifth century AD, during the height of the Sasanian Empire.
- Has served more people than she cares to remember over the centuries - kings and queens, magicians, criminals who wanted more power, etc etc. She'd sleep in her vase otherwise.
- The enchantment tying her to her vase (and to servitude) wore off at around the turn of the 21st century.
She still has access to her magic, but is no longer bound with an obligation to serve anyone. - Her magic has a handful of limits - namely, no forcing love, no killing, can't create something if she doesn't understand how it works.
- (She went through college for a computer science degree - in this day and age, she'd barely be able to affect objects otherwise)
- Doesn't tend to show off her magic - she's not sure if she can get forced back into her old vase, and doesn't really want to find out. Which isn't to say that she never helps her friends out, but incredible wealth is as good an excuse as any. (Besides, saying "because I'm a genie" tends to just get laughs.
- Professional model, though has never really made it big. Spends a lot of her time partying, traveling, and generally enjoying life.
- Huge flirt, huge cuddlebug, has never met a lap she didn't like.
